Copenhagen actually has a lot of places that have that French ‘je ne sais quoi’ going on like in Paris… and I’ve visited three of them during the last month…
Beau Marche with it’s colorful café chairs and salade chevre chaud on the menu is as French as it gets. I was here a couple of weeks ago and the place is still one of my favourites in town. The intimacy reminds me so much of Buvette in Paris.
Atelier September is another place that has that Parisienne vibe going on with the marble, rustic wood and Matisse posters hanging everywhere on the walls. I love coming here, especially for breakfast. You can read more about the place here.
Café Victor is classic and an institution in the Copenhagen night life. It’s the perfect place for a rendezvous and one glass here often turns into an all nighter (trust me!). But remember to get something to eat first. Beef tartar, moules, foie gras – most of the French classics you’ll find here. The top floor was recently renovated and the old café looks amazing with the massive chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
All three places are maximum 1 min. from each other so you can start with breakfast at Atelier September, move on to lunch and wine at Beau Marche and finally dinner and drinks at Café Victor before ending up swinging from the chandelier 🙂
Sounds like the perfect way to be Parisienne in Copenhagen to me!
