All you need is:
- A bag of frozen peas
- One fresh chili
- Two cloves of garlic
- One bouillon cube
- Salt and pepper
How to make:
Cook the frozen peas in a pot with water that only just covers them – once it starts to boil turn down the heat.
Mean while, chop the chili and the cloves of garlic and add them to the pot along with the cube of bouillon.
Let it boil for 10-15 min. with a lid on before turning of the heat.
Blend all the ingredients together with a hand blender until it’s fluid.
Season with salt and pepper before serving the pea soup together with toasted rye bread (or what you prefer).
Psst… it also tastes really good with either bacon or scallops on top!
This pea soup is probably one of the meals I’ve made most times. I used to make it all the time when I moved out of my parents house and into my first apartment 10 years ago, because not only is it easy peasy to make, it’s also fast and very cheap.
