Monday is always a tough one and today seems even harder to get through than usual…

I’m blame Ystad spa in Sweden for this! 🙂

This weekend Steph and I went to Ystad spa for a weekend getaway…

We arrived late Saturday afternoon and checked into the loveliest suite (room no. 323) with seaside view. It didn’t take us more than 5 seconds to change into our bathrobe and slippers and make over selves feel right at home in our new living room. It felt a bit like Goldilocks and the three bears as we were trying all the couches to see which one was the most comfy 🙂

The couch surfing didn’t last long because we had a 2 hour spa experience ahead of us and we were already running late…

It was a fun experience. Especially the part where we had to scrub each other in the Turkish spa (LOL)!

I had hoped I could stay in my bathrobe (my favourite weekend outfit), but we had to change for dinner at Ystad’s 3-course restaurant Port.

The highlight of the dinner was defiantly the coconut and lemon tart, which we snuck up to our room where we stayed the rest of the night, gossiping and watching chick flicks like teenagers…

Sunday we went for a run along the beach where we came across the cutest fisherman houses. It was a beautiful day, even though it was soooo freezing cold! So NO skinny dipping what so ever….

After the run we had breakfast the same place we dined the night before, only now the space was turned into a gigantic brunch buffet, setup as though you were in a kitchen – which was a really cool feature. Another great detail that I couldn’t help noticing was the gluten and lactose free area.

We weren’t hungry when we left the table, but we were a bit sad that we had to leave our cosy suite and pack our Matching Day et ELLE trolleys only to head back to reality.

Luckily Ystad is only 1 ½ hour from Copenhagen by car – making it the perfect distance for a quick getaway. Wanna go again!!!
