Looking back on my Californication there are some things that are more memorable than others. Like my proposal 🙂
I can’t guarantee a proposal if you go to Cali, but I can guarantee these 10 things…
1. EYE CANDY
No trip to The City of Angels with out a trip to Paul Smith’s iconic pink wall on Melrose Avenue aka. Insta-wall.
2. FABOULOUS FARM FEAT
At Malibu Farm you’ll not only get the loveliest farm-to-table food, you’ll also get a fabulous view of the Pacific Ocean since Malibu Farm is located directly on Malibu Pier.
3. MOST MOUTHWATERING MEAL
I’ve already written about Gracias Madre, but it deserves to be mentioned twice since it’s my all time favorite place in L.A.
4. ENCHANTING HOTEL EXPERIENCE
The Palihouse needs no introduction – it was where Nick Philip proposed to me. It’s the most enchanting hotel and even though it’s pricy I think it’s worth it, cause there’s nowhere like it, at least not what I’ve experienced.
5. CARB BURNING HIKE
Capture the most beautiful sunrise over L.A. on top of Runyon Canon and get a great carb burning work out at the same time. Win win I say!
6. NEW KITCHEN GOALS
You’ll want a new kitchen after visiting Boulettes Larder at The Ferry Building in San Francisco. It’s open, spacious and filled with cobber pots and pans.
7. KILLER BEE PIZZA
Who doesn’t like pizza? At Rose Café in Venice they have one that’s called The Killer Bee and guess what… it stings!
8. BREATHTAKING ROADTRIP
You’ve probably heard of Highway 101, the iconic roadway from Los Angeles to San Francisco or the other way around. It’s a long roadtrip aprox. 12 hours with traffic and stops, but the breathtaking nature you’ll experience a long the way is all worth it.
9. CRAZY CROISSANT CRAVING
I’m normally not a huge fan of regular croissants because they’re too buttery for my tasting, but Rustics Bakery’s almond croissant in Larkspur is crazy good.
10. THE BEST AMERICAN PANCAKES
I’ve already written about Swingers American pancakes made of banana and whole grains, but they deserve a place on this top 10 list.
