I have my good friend Laura to thank for that. She hosted a champagne party in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot, Tuesday after work for our mutual ELLE colleagues and I helped prepare as table decorator and snack master! Must add this to my CV.
Apparently classic dry champagne goes best with salty snacks (I didn’t know) so we arranged the table with all sorts of salty appetizers, from nuts and pata negra to rye bread chips with smoked salmon and cheese.
It was the perfect warm up for our company Christmas party tonight, where I’m sure we’ll be popping some more champagne – so watch out for champagne corks!
